Floridas Sherman Fox squirrels are considerabley larger than the more common grey squirrel. They get thier name from the yellowish fur and extremely long an bushy tail. The Florida Fox Squirrel is a species of special concern but can be found in the Longleaf Pine Forests. Barbara, I've enjoy so many of your photos. This is really something. I have never seen or heard of a Fox Squirrel.. Great image! You should have a lot of BIG animals there in Florida! Wow...I of course voted and favorited..Oh and congratulations on your sale of the Owls...great portfolio Barbara... really good stuff...!
