Artist's Description
A Hatrack Cypress Tree. This phenomenon occurs when the roots of the Cypress reach an impermeable substrate and have to grow spread out instead of down. The canopy then responds by prematurely spreading out thus keeping the tree from getting any taller. The hatrack cypress is a unique natural sculpture born out of life's ability to adapt.
