Description
This photo of a Great Blue Heron wrestling a snake was taken at our first visit to Eagle Point Park, in New Port Richey, Florida. My son and I were fortunate to see the Heron catch the snake and wrestle with it for a while. As we looked on, we noticed that the snake gradully became shorter and shorter until he finally was swallowed by the Heron. It was a quite a memorable experience to observe a Herons feeding behavior!
